It started with an accident…
A few years ago I dislocated my shoulder while mountain biking. The injury was painful, but the physical therapy was worse. The doctor had told me I’d have to wait three months, maybe more, before being able to exercise properly again. My dog Amber is just turning 13 yo. When she was around 10 yo we were afraid we would have to have her ‘put down’. She tore a cruciate ligament a bit
before that and after her surgery and during her recovery the extra stress on her good CL was too much and she tore that one too. She wasn’t eligible to have surgery on that one anytime soon and according to the Vets probably not at all given her age and the previous surgery. I had built a ramp to help her get up and down at the back porch because she could no longer do the stairs, but her mobility declined to the point where she couldn’t even go up the ramp. She would have to bark until I came and then I would have to put a sling under her back end and take all the weight off her back legs. She could then use her front legs to walk up the ramp. Going down was less of a problem because she had gravity helping her.
Anyway, the bottom line was that we were at a loss as to what to do. Her quality of life was declining with the reduced mobility. About then a dog-friend told us about something he discovered that helped his dog when it had issues with its back legs. That’s when we learned of CBDMove. So we tried it. Within a couple of weeks Amber was able to come up the
ramp on her own, and after a few months was even able to do the stairs again, up and down. She is not as mobile as a puppy but is very much as mobile as any ‘healthy’ senior dog and having a great life.
